PTM Seminars
2025 PTM
The 29th PTM Seminar took place on September 21-23, 2025, bringing together 110 participants involved in materials science and engineering. Our seminar was co-organized by the Łukasiewicz – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology. We sincerely thank the organizers for their contribution to this important event.
We have announced the results of the competition for the best doctoral thesis in materials science. This year's winner was Filip Kuśmierczyk, PhD, Eng., from AGH University of Krakow. His thesis, "Multicomponent and Multilayer Polyetherketone-Based Coatings for Metal Biomaterials: Fabrication and Characterization," received recognition from the evaluation committee – Honorary Members of the Polish Materials Science Society: Prof. Jan Kusiński, Prof. Tadeusz Wierzchoń and Prof. Paweł Zięba.
During the meeting of the PTM Executive Board, the initiative to introduce a competition for the best master's thesis in materials science was also approved, aiming to support young scientists in their development. More details coming soon!
We have expanded our Society with 9 new members, what demonstrates the growing interest in our discipline.
Our Seminar provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and establish new contacts. We thank all participants for their active participation and commitment. We now invite you to the next – the 30th anniversary PTM Seminar, organized by the Faculty of Materials Science of the Silesian University of Technology.
2024 PTM
The 28th PTM Seminar took place on September 12-14, 2024, in Kraków. The event was organized by the Faculty of Metal Engineering and Industrial Computer Science at AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. During the Seminar, a series of discussion panels were held, covering topics such as science funding and organization, the Higher Education Act, the categorization of research units, and academic degrees and titles. Selected research institutions presented the results of their latest achievements.
2024 PTM

The 27th PTM Seminar was held on September 24-26, 2023, in Szczecin. The event was organized by the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. During the meeting, the following papers were presented:

The 26th PTM Seminar took place on October 16-18, 2022 in Częstochowa. The event was organized by Częstochowa University of Technology.

The 24th PTM Seminar took place on May 12-15, 2019 at Lake Zegrzyńskie near Warsaw. During the proceedings, presentations were given by, among others, Professor Leszek A. Dobrzański and Professor Dariusz Kata.

The 23rd PTM Seminar was held on May 20-23, 2018 in Gdańsk. The event was organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology.

The 22nd PTM Seminar took place from June 18-21, 2017 in Poznań. The event was organized by the Institute of Materials Engineering at Poznań University of Technology.
