The competition for the best doctoral thesis in Materials Science for 2023 has been decided.
The main prize in the PTM competition for the best doctoral thesis in the field of Materials Science for 2022 was awarded to:
PhD Łukasz Pawłowski from Gdansk University of Technology
Title of the dissertation: Intelligent composite coatings for titanium implants
Thesis supervisor: Professor Andrzej Zieliński
Distinction was given to:
– PhD Adrian Radoń, Silesian University of Technology ( “Shaping the physicochemical properties of magnetite nanoparticles using selected methods of modifying their structure, shape and surface”; supervisor: Professor Rafał Babilas, co-supervisor: PhD Katarzyna Cesarz-Andraczke);
– PhD Adam Skowronek, Silesian University of Technology ( “Improvement of the ductility of high-strength medium-Mn steels through intercritical annealing”; supervisor: Professor Adam Grajcar).
