2023 Edition

The main prize in the PTM competition for the best doctoral thesis in the field of Materials Science for 2022 was awarded to:

PhD Krzysztof Pajor from AGH UST in Krakow

 

Title of the dissertation: Massive metallic glasses on a Zr base with high oxygen content doped with rare earth metals

Thesis supervisor: Professor Tomasz Kozieł

Distinction was given to:

- PhD Agnieszka Chmielewska, Warsaw University of Technology ( "In-situ alloying of NiTi using laser powder bed fusion"; supervisor: Professor Wojciech Święszkowski);

- PhD Edyta Matyja, University of Silesia in Katowice ( "Structure and magnetic properties of  Ni-Co-Mn-In shape memory alloys produced by powder metallurgy and arc melting technology"; supervisor: Professor Grzegorz Dercz, co-supervisor: PhD Krystian Prusik).
